4-year-old girl attacked by grandma’s pit bull

AURORA - A 4-year-old Aurora girl faces a long, slow recovery from a severe bite to the face after her grandmother’s illegal pit bull attacked her in her own home.

According to a City of Aurora Animal Care Division incident report, Neveah Marner was at home with her mother Tiffany Stroh and her mother’s boyfriend Peter Rogers in the evening of April 16.

The 4-year-old girl was alone in a bedroom with her grandmother’s pit bull “Blue” when the dog bit her in the face.

According to the report, Stroh and Rogers were in another room when they heard a scream. When they found Neveah, the 78-pound dog had the girl’s face in its mouth.

Rogers told investigators he had to pull the dog off the child and put it in another room.
